The Witcher returns khổng lồ Netflix later this year, and now we not only know when, we have a tantalizing new teaser trailer to whet our fantasy appetites.

All of this comes courtesy of WitcherCon, a joint all-things-Witcher celebration that Netflix and đoạn phim game publisher CD Projekt Red held this past Friday (lending credence to the argument that while Netflix says the show is an adaptation of the books, it’s very much an adaptation of the games as well).

Here’s everything you need khổng lồ know about The Witcher Season 2 on Netflix.

Excellent, please tell us the release date first.

Sure thing. The Witcher Season 2 lands on December 17th. Pretty sweet Christmas present, right?

Not bad, though Season 1 was even closer khổng lồ Christmas.

True, it came out on December 20th, 2019. That means we’ll have just over two years between seasons. We can blame some of that wait time on COVID-19.

Yeah, COVID-19 is the worst.

It really is. You’re vaccinated right?

I’m not actually a real being—just a figment of your imagination. A vehicle by which lớn have this conversation. But you are.

Isn’t there a new poster?

Yes, you can see that right here.

Here’s Ciri with Lambert. I’m getting Arya và the Hound vibes. Stichồng ‘em with the pointy end, Ciri. (Yes, I know Jon said that).

And last, but certainly not least, Jaskier the bard rocking out:

Those are great. Toss a coin khổng lồ your bard, amirite? Ok so what’s going on with Season 2?

Glad you asked.

Season 2 of The Witcher will follow a more linear timeline than the somewhat confusing first season. We’ll focus on our three main heroes—Geralt (Henry Cavill), Ciri (Freya Allan) và Yennefer (Anya Chalotra)—as Geralt trains Ciri in the arts of the Witchers and Yennefer deals with mysterious new troubles after the Battle of Sodden.

Right now we don’t know much more than that, other than we’ll get to visit the Witcher fortress Kaer Morhen, tucked away in the mountains. Of course, I’ll be reviewing & covering all things Witcher so follow me on social truyền thông media and this blog to stay up khổng lồ date.
